The Périgord Vert is known for its beautiful landscapes of rolling hills, forests and river valleys, and also for its rich agricultural and gastronomic heritage. There are a wealth of activities on offer in the local area for all ages and interests, from swimming lakes and nature trails, prehistoric caves, ancient sites and medieval castles to lively local markets, restaurants and cafés, cultural excursions, adventure parks and extreme sports - there’s something for everyone. Below are a few of our own recommendations, and a list of useful links to find out everything you need to know about this delightful area and help you make the most of your stay.

Brantome – take a canoe or kayak out on the beautiful river Dronne, visit the Abbey and its caves and soak up the atmosphere of the ‘Venice of the Perigord’
The Grotte de Villars – see prehistoric cave paintings and spectacular crystal formations.
Vert e-Trott, Saint Pardoux La Riviere – hire an electric, all-terrain scooter and head off-road to explore.
Perigord Vert Aventures, Nontron – tackle the high ropes among the trees and ride the zip wire across the lake!
